Department: 15124 Credits: 3 Semester: W
Description:
The aim of the course is preparation of future architects for their role as a project designer and manager starting from the project investment program up to the constructional and operational stage by means of adequate tools and techniques for competent quantitative design of construction process. Students submit solutions of the site accommodation and organization based on their individual building projects. One of the lectures´ points of view is the impact of architectural and structural design on its building technology and implementation stages. The other point of view explains the opposite process ? the impact of a particular building technology and staging upon the architectural and structural design. Students will develop their knowledge of how to design documentation of the construction process.

Seminar contents:
Seminars are devoted to practical problems in the form of an individual student´s Project in design development phase with emphasis on the specific location (the layout and dimensions of the building site), temporary site infrastructure and the needs of resources (energy, manpower, machines), programming (CPM, BKM?) and construction process organisation (staging, health and safety measures...), thus following crucial information is inevitable for planning of construction process.
