Code: E361064 Instrumental Technology
Lecturer: prof. Ing. Jan Hošek Ph.D. Weekly load: 2P+0C+2L Completion: A, EX
Department: 12110 Credits: 5 Semester: S
Description:
The students get knowledge on specific technological procedures used in instrumentation and their connection with design of instruments. In practical laboratory exercises, students will try out some of the specific technologies - small parts manufacturing, production of thin films, holographic production methods, and glass cutting technology used in production of instruments
Contents:
? Fine parts production techniques ? the watch lathe, automatic Swiss type lathe
? Statistical production of balls and the production and assembly of bearings.
? Production of precision planar, spherical and aspherical surfaces.
? Production and processing of glass and optical fibers.
? Production of single crystals and its properties.
? Thin films production technologies.
? Production of gratings and scales.
? Production of springs and spring elements for instruments.
? Special technologies for production instrument components - EDM, laser, fluid beam.
? Special technologies for production instrument components ? plasma, ultrasound, rapid prototyping, micromachining.
? Production technology of teeth wheels.
